LINDORUS LOPHANTHAE (Predator)

Latin name: Lindorus lophanthae

The Scale Destroyer

Small (2.5 mm) shiny, black lady bird beetles that lay eggs under scale bodies. The larvae are grey alligator shaped with light coloured bands running along the abdomen. Both adults and larvae feed on hard and soft scale. Other insects that Lindorus feeds on are mealybugs and insect eggs.




SHIPPED: Adults in bottle.




OPTIMUM CONDITIONS: 15-25C (60-77F) 20-90% humidity.

RELEASE RATE: 3-6 Lindorus per 1 m. sq. (10 ft. sq.); 20-40 Lindorus per plant; 20-40 Lindorus per tree.

SPECIAL NOTES: Active at low temperatures (5C/40F).
